Get inspired to be part of our mission by one of many success stories from one of our Pledgers: Women for Women.
Marie Claire Mukaruhunga is a widow with two sons. Her first born is 26 years old and her second one is 20 years old. Before joining Women for Women International's programs, Marie Claire's life situation was very difficult - being HIV positive made her feel sad, depressed and isolated. Most of the time, Marie Claire kept to herself because she felt that no one else cared about her. An association of women living with HIV/AIDS encouraged Marie Claire to enroll in Women for Women International's programs.
Through Women for Women International's programs, Marie Claire learned the value of a woman's work, she gained hope and the confidence she needed to live her life. She also acquired household financial management skills and vocational training.
Today, Marie Claire does tailoring to earn a living and she uses the money she receives through sponsorship to buy materials such as threads and scissors. She plans to expand her business in the future.

"I recently completed the course "SCHOOL MANAGEMENT" I want to share my EXCELLENT satisfaction at having to put into practice the knowledge acquired to develop all the interesting tasks, among them: "Integrating Technology." In this subject I had the opportunity to visit 6 sites, which among them I found www.aplicaciones.info, which has teaching applications of interactive spelling, which I found interesting and extraordinary, because I found the spelling rules and being a teacher of the spelling and writing subjects and guess what? I put it into practice, I sent photos to share and be assured that both the use of Mouse Mischief and Critical Thinking. With all the knowledge acquired, it will make me follow to implement them and to be among the DEVELOPMENT and SUCCESS teachers. Hugs,
God bless you always."

"For me to participate in the computer training was a challenge because I was so afraid to use the computer because I imagined it might break, plus I had a hard time moving the mouse, but thanks to computer training that we received now I can handle more than the mouse and I do not get scared any more, I'm happy because I learned to turn on and off the computer and start learning about productivity programs, which I love it because I believe that next year this will be very useful for my work.
I also believe that to be a teacher one has to keep up with technology because students manage very well the computer and it is good to know how to use it and go in hand by hand with them to know how to guide them.
Thanks to FUNSEPA for the opportunity given us to receive this raining because we bought the computer and it was urgent to teach us how to use it and what better than by the CDs given to us because there is everything that one need to know, it is only matter of dedicating time and practice to all activities that are included"
